He became a graduate research professor of art at the university in 1974. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, a founding member of The Society of Photographic Education and a fomer trustee of the Friends of Photography. UeIsmann’s work has been exhibited in more than 100 individual shows in the United States and abroad over the past forty years. His photographs are in the permanent collections of many museums worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modem Art in New York, the Chicago Art Institute, etc.

His photo of the hands holding water and boat inspired me to create my recreation with the tree and sun. I could not find very much information about his photo. This picture took a while to prepare I could not imagine having to do more then one of these pictures. Jerry is an awesome photographer and I would really like to get my skills from looking at his photographs.
